Selling Cabbages

01/24/08

Today the last of the cabbages was harvested. Some was eaten by the family. The girls quickly sold the rest within the village. They collected about $10 (US).

As you push your cart down the supermarket aisle, I hope you keep this picture of a happy family in mind.

It is amazing how much you were able to produce in your garden. Is it because of your background in Biology, the rich soil, or magic green thumbs? I would think it would be quite inspirational to the village families...makes me want to have a go again at a garden. (Then I come to may senses, remembering my scraggly tomato plants, my spindly cucumbers, and my poorly producing peppers...I never give them enough care and attention). You obviously have the TLC needed down pat!
